Bulky item collection: what counts and how it is priced

A bulky item is anything too big for your wheelie bin or car, such as a sofa, mattress, wardrobe, table, fridge or washing machine. We collect bulky items from anywhere on the property, so there is no need to leave them on the pavement.

One item or several

Every job is assessed individually. Describe the amount and type of waste and the access route, with optional photos. Apex reviews the enquiry and responds with a free quote before collection arrangements are agreed.

Items that carry an extra charge

Some items cost more to dispose of legally, such as mattresses, fridges and freezers, and TVs or monitors. These are confirmed in your quote, so there are no surprises on the day.

Where we collect

We collect bulky items across Wrexham, Chester, Shrewsbury, Warrington and the surrounding towns, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every collection comes with a waste transfer note from a licensed waste carrier.
